XCMG Unmanned Cluster Set a New Record!
Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway has normalized
unmanned construction after one year of practice. In Wuxi section, XCMG
unmanned cluster can complete the construction of 1.6km of surface course in
one day, accelerating the project! On the site, 2 intelligent super wide
pavers, together with 9 double drum rollers, are marching forward together on
19m wide pavement.
Through years of technical polishing and
practicing, XCMG's unmanned intelligent equipment far exceeds the traditional
ones in efficiency. As for construction quality, the mean square deviation of
the evenness of the unmanned construction is only 0.45, far lower than the
national requirement of 1.2. Unmanned cluster achieved the ultimate smoothness
and flatness of the pavement.

The trimming accuracy is improved from
2-5cm to less than 2cm through visual sensor and real-time distance sensor. A
model is established by optimizing the trajectory planning algorithm to
accurately calculate the effective compaction time, so the eight rollers could
advance and reverse in the echelon formation, making up the world's largest
unmanned rollers cluster. By detecting the water level, the vehicle can
automatically retreat to the water tanker and add water.
