XCMG Tower Crane Powers the Construction of the World's First Cliffside Elevator
On the beautiful Kelingking Beach in Bali, Indonesia, XCMG tower cranes are playing a key role in constructing the "world's first cliffside elevator."
Kelingking Beach, often hailed as the "most beautiful beach in Indonesia," gets its name from its finger-like shape, with "Kelingking" translating to "Pinky" in English. As one of the "50 Most Beautiful Beaches in the World," it draws thousands of visitors daily. However, accessing this stunning location is no easy feat. The surrounding cliffs are steep, with a vertical height of nearly 200 meters, requiring visitors to spend almost two hours climbing down to reach the beach—a journey fraught with challenges and risks.
To enhance the visitor experience, a 202-meter-high cliffside elevator is under construction, with the XCMG XGT360-20S1 tower crane handling the work. This large tower crane, specifically designed for major engineering projects, is praised for its exceptional lifting capacity, safe and precise intelligent control system, energy-efficient continuous operation, and modular structure that allows for quick assembly, disassembly, and transportation, significantly reducing the preparation time for construction.
Upon completion, this project will enable visitors to travel from the top of the cliff to the beach in just one minute via the 202-meter-high glass elevator, providing a safe, comfortable, and immersive travel experience.
XCMG's contribution to the development of Indonesia's tourism industry is just one example of its deep involvement in local economic construction. In Indonesia, XCMG products are widely used in urban construction, municipal engineering, equipment leasing, mining, and other fields. With its strong capabilities, XCMG is helping to strengthen the friendship between China and Indonesia and contributing to the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
