XCMG “Steel Mantis” and other emergency rescue equipment assemble, rushing to support disaster-stricken areas!
At 23:59 Beijing time on December 18th, a 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck Jishishan County, Linxia Prefecture, Gansu Province, with a depth of 10 kilometers.
Following the earthquake, XCMG promptly established a dedicated rescue command, actively liaised with the local government in Linxia, and urgently deployed over 50 pieces of equipment, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and multifunctional emergency rescue firefighting vehicles, to be on standby for earthquake relief.
On the 19th, one XCMG “Steel Mantis” tracked excavator, among other heavy-duty rescue equipment, arrived at the rescue site in the Dongxiang, Salar, and Bonan Autonomous County of Jishishan. Additionally, XCMG dispatched another “Steel Mantis”tracked excavator from Ningxia, rushing day and night to support the rescue efforts.
More than 10 XCMG loaders and excavators worked tirelessly day and night to clear mud, open passages, and transport supplies, supporting local government departments. As of 3:00 pm on December 19th, the rescue work had largely concluded, and the focus shifted to treating the injured and resettling the affected population to ensure the safety of lives and property. XCMG will continue to cooperate with local governments to assist the affected people in rebuilding their homes.
