XCMG's road equipment has garnered significant attention for its high performance and precision in the maintenance of the Lianhuo Expressway. Besides, XCMG’s digital intelligent construction cluster has also showcased outstanding performance in projects such as the Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway, the Coastal Expressway, and the Xiamen Bridge, establishing itself as a stellar team in XCMG's road construction sector.

The Lianhuo (G30) Expressway is a major east-west national trunk line in China’s "five vertical and seven horizontal" highway network. It starts in Lianyungang, Jiangsu, and ends in Horgos, Xinjiang. The Jiangsu section spans 235.7 km, with a designed speed of 120 km/h, featuring four lanes in both directions and a roadbed width of 28 meters. This asphalt pavement overhaul covers a total length of 111.258 km, focusing on in-place cold recycling, milling and resurfacing, bridge deck treatment, and overall resurfacing.

The high-performance XCMG RP2405 paver and XD133S roller worked together to pave the 4cm thick asphalt surface layer. The RP2405 paver uses a satellite positioning sensor to measure the central position of the road width, accurately determining the rolling area. With its exceptional operational capability and advanced, reliable product performance, it achieves precise one-time paving on the highway surface.

Several intelligent XD133S double-drum rollers begin the road compaction work immediately after the paving process, working in coordination with the paver. The compaction process follows the "follow closely and compact slowly" principle, utilizing even pressure technology to start and stop smoothly along the planned path, avoiding under-compaction or missed compaction. The average Marshall compaction degree of the road surface reached 99.8%, with an average theoretical compaction degree of 95.8%, and the smoothness reached 0.52mm. This not only extends the road's lifespan but also enhances its load-bearing capacity, ensuring driving comfort and safety.

Since the second half of 2022, XCMG’s complete set of road machinery has participated in several construction projects on the Lianhuo Expressway, receiving positive feedback from the owners. The successful advancement of this asphalt pavement overhaul project is a comprehensive upgrade of the existing road surface and a crucial test of construction equipment and technology. XCMG's digital intelligent construction cluster, with its successful application in various highway asphalt pavement projects, sets a benchmark for the industry in China's infrastructure construction and lays a solid foundation for achieving a safer and smoother transportation network.
