XCA4000 Officially Launched! China Independently Developed!
March 22, XCA4000, the world’s largest truck crane, with 11axles, has completed the first wind turbine lifting operations, marking the success of XCA4000 first operation.
For this lifting operation, XCA4000 needs to lift the 120-ton nacelle and the 95-meter-long, 28-ton fan blade to a height of 160 meters, which is as high as a 50-story building. Mr. Su, the operator of the XCA4000, said, “The efficiency and stability of XCA4000 is way ahead of its time! It took us only 20 minutes to lift the nacelle into place! I have driven all XCMG 1000-ton cranes and every one of them is full of surprises.”
The XCA4000 truck crane was designed and developed by XCMG. Its overall designer Li Changqing introduced, in recent years, as carbon peak, carbon and the dominant leading industries, wind power equipment manufacturing is moving towards the "higher, heavier, bigger" direction, which also gives the supporting construction equipment puts forward higher requirements. The localization rate of the main components of this crane has reached 90%. This is the XCMG Group from 2010 to 1600 tons of wheeled cranes as a starting point, the seventh time to refresh the "world's first crane" record created by themselves.
Each time to a larger tonnage, for the R & D team, is a new challenge. Wind power lifting weight increases by one ton, lifting height increases by one meter, the crane performance requirements are geometrically increasing.
In terms of performance, XCA4000 has realized three major breakthroughs:
Aerial lifting performance breakthrough. Through the new high-performance flexible jib technology, to solve the installation problems of ultra-high-power wind turbines, the highest wind turbine installation height of up to 180 meters.
Complex jib operation safety breakthrough. Developed active safety control technology based on the jib attitude, breaking through the limitations of the traditional force limiter function, to ensure the safety of large-scale construction.
Breakthrough in heavy-duty transfer capability. Through the research and development of large-tonnage heavy-duty bridge and its transmission system, it can realize the safe transfer of over 400 tons of dead weight.
Based on its superior performance, high safety factor and convenient transfer, it now takes only 2 days to install a wind turbine in 3 days before, which can shorten the construction period by more than 30%.
XCA4000 unprecedented lifting capacity, operating height, XCMG not only set a new record for the largest crane, more users, for China’s wind power development, provides a strong support. In the future, the large-scale wind turbine is an inevitable trend, the crane’s lifting capacity, operating height, safety and reliability requirements will be higher and higher. XCMG deep technical deposits, so that we are full of trust and confidence in the development of China’s wind power.
