German Rheinische Post: XCMG from China is Rising
On August 10, Rheinische Post, one of the local mainstream media in
Germany, published an article: "XCMG from China is rising". On August
19, reference news excerpted it.
The article points out that in the past decade, XCMG, a Chinese
construction machinery manufacturer, has been operating a research center and
XCMG's European headquarters in Fichtenhein, Crayfield. The operation in Silk
City (refers to Crayfield) is very important to the group's global success.
The research center and European headquarters, which were established in
Krefeld, Germany 10 years ago with a funding investment of 50 million euro, played
an important role in contributing XCMG’s leading position in the world.
Now, the British International Architecture Magazine (a subsidiary of
the British global construction media group KHL) has confirmed that XCMG has
become one of the three largest construction machinery manufacturers in the
world for two consecutive years.
According to the report of XCMG, in 2021, despite a series of obstacles
caused by COVID-19, XCMG continued to expand in overseas markets and realized
export sales income of more than 13 billion yuan (about 2 billion euros), an
increase of more than 90% over the previous year.
In the past few years, XCMG has further strengthened its innovation
capability and technology research. The Crayfield base with R & D
department will also play an important role in future.
