Zero Impact on Electricity Supply! XCMG’s Aerial Platform Truck Conducts Hot-line Work
“When I saw the
high-voltage line was under construction, I thought there would certainly be an
outrage. The strange thing was the nearby restaurant was still operating
normally, then I found out that work could be done without cutting off the
power nowadays.”
In Inner Mongolia,
a white iron-armed vehicle by a wire pole attracted many residents. A group of
electric workers are working around the pole in the bucket and having “close
contact” with high-voltage wires.
Recently, the
distribution and energized operation department of Ulanqab Power Supply Company
carried out a project to replace the linear rod with tensile rod while energized.
Two XCMG GKJH18B insulated bucket arm trucks were sent to the mission. They are
proudly developed by XCMG combining domestic and foreign advanced technology.
XCMG insulated
bucket arm truck is a special vehicle for equipotential operation in complex
wiring situations. It can complete urban power construction without power
failure, ensure stable power supply, and operate efficiently and safely.
The fiberglass
telescopic arm is the main dielectric of the whole truck. The effective
insulation length is more than 1.5m and there is an effective insulation gap of
0.61m in middle of the folding arm, which provides secondary insulation
protection for ground personnel, achieves "zero perception" for the
users and "zero blackout" of the working line. It’s also capable of
controlling the four horizontal and vertical telescopic legs independently and
reliably without terrain restrictions. Moreover, the work bucket can flip
vertically and dump empty with one click after construction.
At the scene, the operator
makes the work bucket that can rotate ±90° to reach the operation point
accurately through wireless remote control. The work can be carried out even
during the peak hour of power consumption at noon thanks to the strong help of
XCMG insulated bucket arm truck. Residential electricity supply is not affected
in any way. The mission to replace the linear rod with tensile rod was
successfully completed after four hours of efficient work by the truck and the
workers.
A journey of a
thousand miles begins with one step. XCMG will continue building advanced and
durable MEWP for the global market.
