XCMG “Steel Mantis” Continuous Landslide Rescue Documentary
After a landslide occurred in Sujiapo, Shanghang County, Longyan City, Fujian Province, XCMG’s “Steel Mantis” walk wheel excavators quickly rushed to the site and carried out emergency rescue work together with China Anneng.
The terrain of the landslide site was steep, with the vertical height of the mountain reaching 150 meters and the maximum slope reaching an amazing 60 degrees. Under these conditions, the landslide body may have the danger of secondary collapse and rock rolling, which increased the difficulty and risk of disposal work.
In the face of such complex terrain and harsh environment, XCMG “Steel Mantis” walk-behind excavator shows extraordinary adaptability with its powerful all-terrain chassis. It was able to move stably on steep slopes, cross gullies and obstacles, and arrive at the landslide disposal point quickly.
At the hilltop disposal site, “Steel Mantis” continuously handled more than 100 loose landslides and rocks, significantly reducing the risk of subsequent landslides.
After completing the work at the top of the hill, Iron Mantis entered the designated site on the hillside according to the plan. On the rugged road, like a trailblazer, it overcame the difficulties of slippery road surface and soft collapse by virtue of its high flexibility and strong traction. It cleared the obstacles while moving forward, even on a steep slope of 45 degrees, and climbed continuously for more than 20 meters, and finally arrived at the predetermined operating point successfully.
At the bottom of the mountain, “Steel Mantis” opened up a tens of meters of inflow ditch, effectively controlling the subsequent damage that may be brought by the landslide. At the dangerous operation point, it adopts step-down operation and remote control operation to ensure the successful completion of the task and guarantee the safety of the operators at the same time.
At present, XCMG’s “Steel Mantis” walk-behind excavator is still carrying out landslide rescue work and fighting on the front line of disposal. The XCMG team has always stood firm at their positions and made continuous efforts to contribute to the safety and stability of the local people.
The outstanding performance of XCMG’s “Steel Mantis” in this dangerous situation demonstrated the strong strength of China's machinery manufacturing and its reliability in critical moments. It is not only a mechanical equipment, but also an indomitable hero in the face of natural disasters.
