XCMG South America Special Zone Strives to Become an International Operational Benchmark
Recently, Mr. Yang Dongsheng, Chairman of XCMG Group and XCMG Machinery, conducted an inspection in Brazil, conducting in-depth research into XCMG's development in the country. Accompanying him were Mr. Liu Jiansen, Vice President of XCMG Machinery and General Manager of the XCMG Machinery Import and Export Company, and Mr. Song Zhike, Vice President of XCMG Machinery and General Manager of the Excavator Machinery.
During the visit, Mr. Yang Dongsheng and his delegation thoroughly investigated the production and manufacturing of various product lines by XCMG Brazil. He emphasized that XCMG's manufacturing operations in Brazil, as the company's first overseas wholly-owned production base, should continue to adhere to a localization strategy. He stressed the importance of nurturing a group of outstanding local talents and comprehensively building an integrated capability system encompassing products, services, spare parts, and human resources.
Mr. Yang Dongsheng highly commended the strategic plans for XCMG South America over the next five years. He acknowledged the ambitious, opportunistic, and challenging nature of the goals set. At the same time, he pointed out that realizing these objectives requires a focus on the market, products, and enhancing capabilities. XCMG South America Special Zone, being an integral part of XCMG's internationalization efforts, should not only achieve the current objectives but also strengthen its capability system by focusing on digital transformation and skill enhancement, thereby contributing more to XCMG's global aspirations.
Mr. Yang Dongsheng also emphasized that XCMG Brazil's manufacturing operations are entering a new phase of high-quality development with a positive momentum. He urged further advancements in the scientific, standardized, and intelligent aspects of XCMG Brazil's operations, aiming to comprehensively support the realization of XCMG's internationalization strategic objectives.
During his visit, Mr. Yang Dongsheng visited the Schwing Maquinarias production workshop in Brazil and received a detailed report. He acknowledged the market achievements and business performance of Schwing Maquinarias in recent years and proposed that, standing at the new starting point of XCMG's and German Schwing's ten-year integration, both sides should explore deeper collaboration in technology, products, markets, and the global supply chain. This would elevate the synergistic development of XCMG and Schwing Maquinarias in South America, creating even greater value for customers in the region.
As a critical component of XCMG's internationalization strategy, XCMG South America Special Zone will closely follow the two-step blueprint for XCMG's "Summit of Mount Everest" strategy. Focused on the strategic direction of "strengthening Brazil, expanding in South America, and supporting Central and North America," it will comprehensively establish and strengthen the localization capability system of "research, production, supply, sales, and service." The goal is to shape XCMG's manufacturing operations in Brazil into a benchmark for international operations, providing a Brazilian model and experience for the successful implementation of XCMG's global strategy.
