At 4:17 and 13:17 local time on February 6, Türkiye witnessed two successive 7.8 magnitude earthquakes with a focal depth of 20 kilometers. It was the strongest earthquake that Türkiye had suffered since 1939, and buildings in many places were flattened.

After the earthquake, there was a slight earthquake in Ankara, where XCMG Türkiye was located about 700km away from the epicenter.

XCMG Türkiye quickly took action. Iit reported the local situation to the headquarters of XCMG, and at the same time, it quickly deployed three XCMG excavators under construction near Gaziantep to the disaster area for rescue.

Disaster is the order, and every minute costs a life! After receiving the message, XCMG quickly set up an emergency rescue team led by Liu Jiansen, vice president of XCMG Machinery and general manager of Import and Export Corporation.

At 12:30 on February 6, local time, orders were issued quickly. All the staff of XCMG Türkiye ran to help. XCMG immediately allocated 12 excavators, loaders and other emergency equipment of all tonnage, actively responded to the call of the Chinese Embassy in Türkiye and the General Chamber of Commerce of Chinese Enterprises in Türkiye, coordinated resources to provide necessary assistance to local Chinese community.

At present, there are several XCMG excavators, cranes, loaders and other equipment, operators responding to the unified deployment order from the Türkiye government to the disaster area.

"The government of Türkiye has requisitioned all available pallet trucks and transportable means of transportation. The equipment of XCMG has arrived in the disaster area and is being put into rescue. We are also working with agents in other places in Türkiye to quickly participate in rescue." said the head of XCMG Turkey.

In the afternoon of the 6th Feb, XCMG Türkiye cooperated with local agents to urgently raise a large number of emergency aid materials and distribute them to the disaster areas in just a few hours.

By now, several Chinese rescue teams had rushed to Türkiye to take part in earthquake rescue work. XCMG Türkiye has contacted with several rescue teams, actively provided information and service for the rescue teams.
