Overlord of Wind Turbine Crane —— XCC2000
According
to the National Layout Plan for Large-scale Wind Power Photovoltaic Bases Focusing
on Deserts and Gobi issued by the national development and reform commission
and the national energy administration, the total capacity of the planned wind
power photovoltaic bases will reach 455 million kilowatts by 2030.
As
an important new energy base in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Urad Houqi is
rich in wind energy resources. The phase II Sanguikou decentralized wind power
project, with an installed capacity of 20MW, was built here.
Urad
Houqi is known for its "desolate and uninhabited" geographical
environment and the "weird" climatic conditions. It’s not uncommon
that a sunny day suddenly turns to be cloudy with dense clouds and strong wind,
or even hail and sandstorms.
Timeline
is the essential requirement for disassembling and transporting crane
components. The organization and management of a large transportation team is
particularly important for wind power hoisting that needs frequent transfer.
Through
careful calculation of the bearing capacity and driving capacity requirement, the
contractors chose XCC2000 for the mission. XCC2000 boasts an 8-meter-high and 29.5
meters long body, a 4.1-meter-high center of gravity and a 4.5-meter narrow
rail. It can turn freely without changing position. Compared with all-terrain
cranes, XCC2000 is less picky of working conditions.
In
Urad Houqi wind farm, XCC2000 saves 2 / 3 of the travel time compared with other
crawler cranes for a one-kilometer transfer. During the transfer, it carries a 457
tons load including boom, outrigger, super lift, 40 tons of counterweight and
foot plate, thus more than 100,000 yuan of pallet trucks rental fees can be saved
each month.
XCC2000
can save nearly 20 days by its transfer capacity for the construction of a
10-turbine wind farm, bringing great economic value to the contractors.
As
