XCMG's ultra large tonnage electric drive horizontal directional drilling rig XZE8200 was proudly launched, and the "first show" ushered in the inspection of hard formation, long-distance, and difficult crossing construction. In combination with the XZ5060 horizontal directional drilling rig, it jointly carried out construction and efficiently completed dual machine synchronous reaming.

Recently, the ultra large tonnage motor direct drive XZE8200 horizontal directional drilling rig developed by XCMG Foundation appeared at the construction site of Daoyang River on the east trunk line of Shandong pipe network. It jointly carried out construction with XZ5060 to assist in the trunk line pipe network project of Shandong pipe network. The dual machines had synchronized reaming operations, increasing the reaming efficiency by over 40%. The construction pipeline is DN1200 steel pipe with a crossing length of 835m, crossing through completely weathered granite gneiss, strongly weathered granite gneiss, and moderately weathered granite gneiss. Due to the complex construction stratum of the project and the large torque required during construction, the construction party used XCMG XZ5060 horizontal directional drilling rig in conjunction with XCMG XZE8200 to carry out dual machine synchronous reaming construction, which doubled the reaming speed in hard stratum.

During the construction process of double machine synchronous reaming, two drilling machines, one for pushing in the east of the river and the other for pulling in the west bank of the river, output torque to form a combined force, reducing torque loss caused by low friction in the hole and improving the reaming speed in complex geological, long-distance, and large-diameter engineering construction, thus greatly ensuring the success rate of engineering construction.

The XZE8200 horizontal directional drilling rig is a super tonnage motor direct drive horizontal directional drilling rig developed by XCMG Foundation, focusing on the pain points such as high trenchless construction costs and construction disturbance. Although powered by electric drive, XCMG XZE8200 follows the traditional advantages of XCMG's large tonnage drilling rig, such as fast push and pull speed and large pull back force, and is particularly suitable for construction under long-distance, difficult, and complex terrain crossing conditions.
